We like to be transparent about extra fee, so here are a few you might expect in special circumstances.

We like to be transparent about extra fee, so here are a few you might expect in special circumstances.
- Telemedicine Fee: Applies to remote consultations via phone, video, or text. It covers the doctor’s dedicated time to review medical records and/or provide professional diagnostic or treatment advice, similar to an in-person exam.
- No-Show/Late Cancellation Fee: Assessed for missed appointments or those canceled with less than 24 hours' notice. If you cannot make your appointment, please call us by the end of the previous business day to avoid this charge.
- Urgent Care Fee: Applies to same-day appointments "squeezed in" during regular business hours. This fee covers the logistical adjustments required to prioritize your pet's urgent medical needs.
- Emergency Care Fee: Applied for after-hours services, whether in-clinic or as a farm call. This fee covers the time and resources required for a veterinarian to make a special trip to provide care outside of normal business hours.
Payment Plans
Plateau Valley Animal Hospital partners with Cherry and CareCredit to provide flexible payment options for pet owners managing the cost of veterinary care. These programs can be used for a variety of services, including routine exams and vaccinations, emergency care, surgeries, medications, and dental treatments. We encourage you to explore both options, as each offers different features designed to fit your individual needs.
Care Credit
Care Credit functions like a standard credit card, allowing you to use it whenever a veterinary or medical need comes up. You make monthly payments based on your balance and any applicable interest, and if your account remains in good standing, you can request a credit limit increase at any time.

Cherry Financing
Cherry offers a “treat now, pay later” option, allowing patients to apply directly for financing. If approved, the patient can pay for their treatment upfront to the Practice and then repay Cherry over time, typically through monthly installments.
