The Veterinarian
Dr. Clint Dennison

Dr. Clint Dennison graduated from Plateau Valley High School in 1985. After serving six years in the United States Air Force, he attended Colorado State University to earn his doctorate in veterinary medicine. He received the Large Animal Surgical Proficiency Award upon graduation, which resulted in a large animal surgical internship at CSU for another year. He practiced for two years in Oregan before opening his own equine referral hospital in California. While there, he also served as an associate professor at Western Veterinary College in Pamona, California. He received his dentistry certification in 2004. In 2009, he and his family moved back to Collbran, Colorado where he opened the Plateau Valley Animal Hospital. He has been involved with combat trauma training with the US military and law enforcement and is currently an instructor for outfitting and guiding services where he educates prior military service men in the proper handling of first aid for horses. Dr. Dennison has served as the state fair veterinarian and the Mesa County fair livestock veterinarian.
In his free time (which is what?), Dr. Dennison has coached basketball and softball, has served on the PVS school board, is a member of the PVS FFA advisory board, mentors the Plateau Valley School FFA veterinary science team, sings in a band named Dennison County Line, and rides horses and raises cattle. He also enjoys hunting, gunsmithing, and spending time with his family. |
Collbran Clinic
Jennifer Crites

Jennifer Crites has lived in Collbran for 20 years with her husband Chris. They have two children, Mikaela and Dalton. Jennifer worked the front desk for multiple gas companies before moving to Collbran, and for two years she worked at the PV Medical Clinic as a medical assistant. She really enjoyed working in the medical field and would like to return to it once the children have graduated. She says that working part time for Dr. Dennison will give her the opportunity to use her phone and office organization skills and help the residents of Plateau Valley with their four-legged loved ones.

Chasity Graham

Chasity Graham grew up in Glade Park, Colorado on her family ranch raising beef cattle, riding horses and her "Cowhorse" Bessy the Cow. Chasity and her husband Chance started their own beef cattle operation raising Red Angus/ Charolaise cross cattle. She enjoys being around the animals and has a huge heart when it come to caring for them. Besides cattle, Chasity has worked at Family Health West in the emergency room for 15 years as an ER lead tech/ EMT. When she is not busy with farming, ranching, or medical work (whether it be humans or animals), she enjoys guiding and outfitting, hunting, fishing, riding horses, playing with animals, and being on the mountain. She looks forward to working with our furry friends in the community.

Calla Dennison

Calla Dennison comes to us from... well… here. She is Dr. Dennison's daughter, as most of you know. She graduated from Plateau Valley School in 2021. She attended CMU for a year and is now enrolled in veterinary technician school. She is very busy improving her craft by, not only working for us and attending VT school, but by also traveling to California once a month to assist with veterinary surgeries at one a them big 'n fancy vet hospitals. She brings with her a great energy and enthusiasm for this profession.

Silt Clinic
Kelly Fender

Kelly Fender graduated from the Colorado Mountain College Vet Tech program in 1996. She has since received additional training and certification with the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians (ASVDT). She has worked for Basalt Veterinary Clinic, Glenwood Veterinary Clinic, and Eagle County Animal Control. With animal control, she received specialized training in dog behavior/training, wildlife handling, and feral cat rehab. She transitioned into human dentistry for eight years and was an instructor at the vet tech program at CMC for 1.5 years. She started dog grooming from home in 2014 to get back into the animal industry and added veterinary care in 2019. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, horseback riding, and swimming with her two boys, Luke and Josh.

The Family
On any given day, you might see someone from Dr. Dennison's family helping out. They bring an assortment of special talents to the care of your animals or the function of the practice. If nothing else, they bring humor and energy!
